Krikke Motorsport at the 2008 Krikke Boys Shootout
This weekend marks the return for Krikke Motorsport to the West for the first time in 2008 with their first run at the Krikke Boys Shootout this Saturday and Sunday night followed by the Nanovich “King of the Wings” at the Perth Motorplex the following weekend.
Since securing the World Series Sprintcars title earlier this year the team has been able to concentrate in chasing victories rather than points.
This has proven good for the Krikke Motorsport Toyota Genuine Parts/Cool/Maxwill with victory in their last outing at Speedway City Adelaide for the Australian Sprintcar Nationals.
The Shane Krikke & Brooke Tatnell combination at this years Shootout will be the first for the team in the 11 year history of the boys race. Krikke Motorsport has won this race with Robbie Farr behind the wheel and they are looking at repeating this result at the hands of current Australia #1 Brooke Tatnell.
This will also be Brooke’s first appearance at the Krikke Boy’s Shootout and to say he is pumped is an understatement. Brooke spoke to me just before flying to Perth later today “I am very excited about this weekend, to be able to share my first Krikke Boys Shootout race driving for the Krikke Motorsport team is a huge honor and a memory I will treasure forever. I love the Bunbury track, it has always been good to me in the past. The team is fully prepared and ready to go and being in their home town is a bonus for the preparation leading up to this race”
Shane Krikke “It is great to be able to race close to home this weekend, not some thing we are able to do very much with our schedule around Australia. To also be at the race in honor Darryl & Jason is seriously some thing special to me & the whole team. The Krikke family will all be there and that is some thing I’m also looking forward to as well. The boys are pumped; the car is ready, so let’s bring it on”
Krikke MotorSport will be in action this Saturday & Sunday at the 2008 Krikke Boys Shootout at Bunbury City Speedway.
Krikke MotorSport merchandise is now available on-line or direct from the Team Transporter at each venue, stock is getting low so don’t miss out on the Krikke Motorsport gear this weekend at Bunbury City speedway.
Brooke and the Krikke MotorSport Team again thank their valued sponsors, who are ready to support them for another Australian Title campaign: Bunbury Toyota, Toyota Genuine Parts, Terry Shields Toyota, PWR, Mega Motors, Maxwill Race Engines, Cool Chassis, Mercure Hotel Parramatta, A1 Sign Shop, A.
