Krikke Motorsport debuting a brand new Cool Chassis at the PCR $50,000 to win last night, were very happy finishing a very creditable 5th place from position 20th in the preliminary A main.

This race got off to to a big start a few days prior back in Warnambool with John Cooley of Cool Chassis preparing a brand new ride for the team in time for Sydney.

The Australian #1 KMS Toyota Genuine parts/Cool/Maxwill struggled to find a good racing line during time trials with a deep pill draw, by the time Brooke Tattnell went to qualify the track had blown off and times were slower, they finished in 24th position after the time trial.

Brooke's heat race was the teams low light for the night with a brake lock up while challenging for the front positions on lap 2, this brought on the lights and the KMS Toyota Genuine parts/Cool/Maxwill had to do it all again from the rear of the field, they would finish just outside the transfer spot in 5th forcing them into the B main.

Out of 5th in the B main Tattnell quickly wrapped the win up in blistering form placing him in 20th starting position for the nights preliminary A main event.

Starting out of 20th position in the final was always going to be hard work but even better was the 5th place result putting the KMS Toyota Genuine parts/Cool/Maxwill on pole for tonights heat race, should the KMS team finish in the front 4 they will transfer straight to the dash & feature for the PCR $50,000 to win, one of Australia;s richest sprintcar events.

Shane Krikke on the night one results "We are very happy with this solid result, to come from where we were two weeks agon to now is a credit to Brooke & the boys, they have worked hard to find our old winning combination and i now believe we have it, we are making headway and now look forward to tonight and the WWSS grand final next weekend.

Krikke Motorsport’s next race will be night two of the $50,000 to Win at Sydney’s Parramatta City Raceway on Saturday 5 January 2008.
